Ho Chi Min - Angolan ambassador to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, João Manuel Bernardo, defended Saturday diversified cooperative relations with the Asian country, with stress to economic field.
The diplomat said this to the Angolan media while speaking on five-day visit by the Angolan vice president, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos, started this Sunday to Ho Chi Min, Vietnam.
The Angolan vice president is visiting Vietnam at the invitation of his counterpart, Nguyen Thi Doan, aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
According to João Manuel Bernardo, the working visit is an "important milestone" in the framework of relations of friendship and cooperation also aimed at covering economic and commercial levels.
The ambassador referred to the planning of a business forum, under the slogan "A new partnership for development" aimed at publicizing the potential of Angola.
He emphasised that the initiative will respond to the anxiety shown by Vietnamese entrepreneurs interested in investing in the country.
"It's an important opportunity to advertise the Angolan potentials and business opportunities in productive fields like agriculture, industry and construction, as well as to enhance the capabilities in the areas of production of rice, cotton and rubber, which were widely traded in colonial times.
