Kampala - The Ugandan newspaper, Daily Monitor, called “danger man” the Angolan striker, Flavio Amado, who moved this season from Egyptian Al Ahly to Saudi Arabia’s Al Shabab.
In its Tuesday’s edition, the daily highlights the qualities of the striker who scored Angolan team’s sole goal in the 2006 FIFA World Cup of Germany. According to the publication, the absence of Flavio from Saturday’s game against Uganda is a relief to the rival team backline.
The text, printed on the paper’s last page, carries a picture of the striker in a scramble with a Ugandan defender, during the game played between two teams in 2008, with the caption “Sekagya marks Angola Flávio danger man in 2008”.
Angolans Manucho Gonçalves (Turkey’s Bucaspor) and Mabiná (Petro Atletico de Luanda), who have been summoned for Saturday's match, have also been mentioned by the newspaper.
Manucho is also mentioned as a dangerous player. “He is a dangerous player too”, reads the paper.
Angola and Uganda will be playing Saturday in Kampala the first round match of the qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations (CAN2012).
