We have started with a process to reduce the dependence from abroad, with all gains resulting from the national production, creation of jobs and market sustainability, covering all groups of users,&amp;rdquo; said the minister.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The range of drugs at Nova Angomedica includes anti-anaemic, analgesic, anti-malaria, anti-inflammatory, tuberculostatic and anti-allergic drugs, serums and tablets, oral liquids and ointments.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="justify"&gt;The minister explained that the Angolan State spends more than Usd 60 million a year in the purchase of medicines.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="justify"&gt;As he explained, the strategy of the sector will be supplying basic drug kits, stressing the quality management system implemented to ensure high standards in terms of fulfillment of good manufacturing practices.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="justify"&gt;During the visit, the minister laid the foundation stone for the construction of Serum Production Unit.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="justify"&gt;Currently, Nova Angomedica operates with a team of 98 workers.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="justify"&gt;The system comprises a plan in Luanda and another in central Benguela province, equipped with quality control laboratories that ensure efficiency and safety, with tests conducted from the start of production to the final product.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <description>Brazzaville, &lt;p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Brazzaville &amp;ndash; The Africa director of the World Health Organisation (WHO-Africa), Luis Gomes Sambo, said in Brazzaville (Republico f Congo) there is need for a world harmonisation of perspectives and means to maximise the action in favour of the health of the populations in African communities.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The WHO official was addressing a meeting with the special advisor to UN secretary general Ban Ki-Moon for Innovative Financing for Development of programmes of combat of Hiv/Aids, Tuberculosis nd Malaria (UNITAID), Philippe Douste-Blazy.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Lu&amp;iacute;s Gomes Sambo added that Africa is not getting enough resources to play its part in the light of its contribution to multi-faceted development.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;According to documentation of the WHO press Office that reached Angoop, the organisation regional director praised the innovative financng raised by UNITAID, which helped fight transmitted and chronic diseases, other endemics and maternal-infant mortality.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;To the officia, in ensuring the access to drugs aganst Hiv/Aids, tuberculosis and malaria at low cost, UNITAID brought improvements to living in Africa.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;After admitting the consequences of the financial crisis that affected the world, Lu&amp;iacute;s Sambo said there is the possibility that innovative financing are place at the disposal of health at world level, with a view to lessening the suffering and facilitating the health of the populations, especially the most vulnerable ones.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Regarding UNITAID participation in the initiative to harmonise health in the continent, the regional director invited it to join the coordination of the UN agencies and other involved in bilateral cooperation, inlcuding other international financial institutions.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;In his view, such action is intended to maximise the results, by aligning&amp;nbsp; health policies designed by governments, thus enabling country to achieve the same objectives with the level of financial contribution&amp;nbsp; given for all African states to engage in the effort to reach universal health coverage.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;He urged increased funding for health and at the same time, the improvement in terms of management of resources available for the development of the sector.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The official defended the support of the authorities for policies that initiate reduced rates in favour of health.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;In his turn,&amp;nbsp; Philippe Douste-Blazy said the addition of one Euro to each airline ticket bought in France and fourteen other countries allowed to raise in five years, more than Usd 2.5 billion, which has allowed to care for eight of every ten children with AIDS, more than three million people suffering from malaria and 1.5 million others affected by tuberculosis, in particular children.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;After maintaining that such results prove that innovative financing can help achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) related to health, the official appealed to heads of state and government to establish a small fee on financial transactions in order to allocate between 10 to 40 percent of revenues to developing countries.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Stressed that the WHO needs funding and it is necessary that the WHO / UNITAID Africa work together to maximise the effectiveness of their work, since the latter can annually get from Usd 350 to Usd 400 million.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Because of this, he said, there was the possibility to multiply this figure, between three to 10 times, should there be minimum rates on financial transactions, providing each country to bear the burden of future health.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;While warning that the MDGs related to this sector will not be achieved in 2015, Philippe Duste-Blazy is of the opinion that with 0,1 percent of tax on financial transactions can help fund health budgets, which allow each citizens to have access to public healthcare.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;This issue has been in the last week-end, in the center of the meeting that brought together the regional director of WHO&amp;nbsp; Africa, based at the HQ in Brazzaville, the Angolan Lu&amp;iacute;s Gomes Sambo, and chairman of UNITAID board&amp;nbsp; and former French minister of Health, Philippe Douste-Blazy.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;During the meeting, the two institutions agreed to cooperate in raising more funds needed to fight against endemic diseases.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;UNITAID was proclaimed in September 2006 by the UN General Assembly.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <description>Ndalatando , &lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="justify"&gt;Ndalatando&amp;nbsp;- The Secretary of State for Human Rights, Ant&amp;oacute;nio Bento Bembe, highlighted on Monday in Ndalatando city, northern Kwanza Norte province, the importance of the citizens&amp;rsquo; education of human rights for the respect of the human being&amp;rsquo;s dignity.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Bento Bembe said so in a meeting with the members of the provincial committee of Kwanza Norte for human rights.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;He said that there is a crisis of values that affect the society that make an attempt on human dignity&amp;rsquo;s principles.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;However, the official defended that the solution is to educate the citizens on a culture of human rights.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;According to him, human rights has a straight relation with all domains of the man&amp;rsquo;s political, economic and social life in which the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights has a project that aims to contribute to change the society through the training of conscious citizens, who comply the other people&amp;rsquo;s rights and with the capacities to demand the compliance with their rights.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The meeting was attended by the vice-governor of Kwanza Norte province for political and social matters, Jos&amp;eacute; Alberto Quipungo and it is part of visit paid by Bento Bembe to the region since Monday, aimed to check the sector.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
