Tourism Ministry drafts law for sector?s workers

Luanda - The Ministry of Hotels and Tourism (Minhotur), in partnership with the Ministry of Administration, Employment and Social Security (MAPESS), is preparing a law to establish basic criteria for admittance of personnel in the tourism sector.


The information was released recently by the incumbent minister, Pedro Mutindi, who pointed out the specific and professional training in the tourism and hotel field as a primary requirement for Angolan citizens to apply for job in the sector.


He said that the drafting of the law is scheduled for January and aims essentially at establishing administrative measures that enable to improve considerably the sector’s services nationwide.


According to the minister, Minhotur aspires  that the new legal instrument  improve services in the hotels and tourism, through the strengthening of the technical, organisational and functional capacity of the sector, so that it can contribute to the yielding of funds for the state.
