Huambo - At least 166 people, mostly youths, recently in central Huambo province received their diplomas after successfully finishing the course of hotel and restructuring, 19 years after the closing of the local hotel school.
For 45 days, the trainees were upgraded in areas of table/bar, reception and rooms.
The programme was promoted by the provincial department of Trade and Tourism in partnership with a consulting firm.
On the occasion, students read a message in which they pledged to implement all they learned in order to better serve customers.
In his turn, the deputy governor of the Huambo for economic and social affairs, Deolindo Henrique Barbosa, who chaired the diploma awarding ceremony, said he expect the training to contribute to the improvement of services in hotels and restaurants.
