Lubango – At least 2,720 tourists between nationals and foreigners who came to Lubango city to watch the games of Group “D” of the Orange African Cup of Nations (Angola2010), visited various tourist sites in southern Huíla province.

ANGOP learnt on Thursday in this city, from the inspector of the team of CAN2010 tourism activities operation CAN2010, Agostinho Francisco João, who was assessing the competition in the province, that closed this Monday, following the quarter-final match.

He said that most of them are national tourists from the provinces of Malange, Kuando-Kubango, Namibe, Cunene and 60 foreigners of various nationalities, mainly excursionists and journalists.
 

The source added that the visitors got acquainted with the beauty of the “waterfalls of Huila” and “Hungueria”, “Statue of Christ the King”, “Slit of Tundavala”, “Dam of Ganjelas”, among others.

Agostinho João said also that most of the visitors who were first in these sites were delighted with the wonders found on the ground and promised to return to calmly enjoy them, and other tourist attractions in the province
