Luanda - Hotel and Tourism deputy minister, Joao Baptista, Thursday in Luanda said that the profits obtained with the emergence of new hotels in the country are evident in prices stabilization, improvement of facilities and the services provided in the sector.
The official said so during the ceremony of inauguration of "Futila" Hotel, located Camama commune, Kilamba district, Luanda province.
According to him, the emergence of these infrastructures also results in qualifying of operational assets and in a new country's tourism ranking, which compete the regional-based partners.
He said that the opening of "Futile" Hotel responds to the challenges of the Angolans in organising an exemplary African Cup of Nations.
The two-star undertaking, worth more than USD 3 million, has 26 rooms, restaurant, bar, conference room, terrace, swimming pool, parking for 30 vehicles and a leisure area. It will also accommodate the Angolan and foreign tourists during the CAN/2010.
The inaugural ceremony gathered minister of Public Works, Higino Carneiro, his vice-minister, Joannes André, Kilamba Kiaxi district administrator, José Francisco Correia, among other guests.
