Train to transport 40 million passengers by 2015

Luena - More than 40 million passengers will travel by train the provinces of Moxico,  Huambo,  Bie and Benguela by 2015, where it crosses the Benguela  railway, CFB.

 

The minister of Transport Augusto da Silva Tomás announced this Friday in Luena, eastern Moxico province.


 
The official was speaking at inauguration ceremony of train linking Kuito (Bie) and Luena (Moxico) by the President of Republic, José Eduardo dos Santos. He added that the train will transport in the same period about four million tons of various cargoes.


 
According to the minister, since the reconstruction of Benguela railway, in beginning of the last year, about 1,032 kilometers of railway line, 48 bridges and an equal number of stations have undergone repairing.
