Luanda - A total of 302 kilometres of secondary and tertiary roads are being repaired in Luanda province, as part of the Government’s Special Programme of Rehabilitation and Maintenance of roads in the Angolan capital.
Angop learned this Wednesday during a tour the minister of Urbanisation and Construction, Fernando Fonseca, and the Luanda governor, Bento Sebastião Bento, made to assess the degree of accomplishment of the programme in the municipalities of Maianga and Kilaba Kiaxi.
The roads being repaired are located in the municipalities of Cacuaco, Viana and Cazenga, districts of Maianga, Sambizanga, Rangel, Samba and Kilamba Kiaxi, seeking to provide better organisation and security for users.
Other roads are located in such neighbourhoods as Mártires do Kifangondo, Sagrada Esperança, Campo do Inter, Palanca and others.
Meanwhile, about 140 kilometres of road were repaired in the 2008/2012 period, under a process of rehabilitation of secondary and tertiary roads in Luanda urban areas.
