Minister defends projects for border links

Luanda - Angola's Transports minister, Augusto da Silva Tomás, defended on Thursday, in Namibia, the execution of feasible projects with the strategic perspective of making a transport line for trans-border links.

 

A press note from the Ministry says that Augusto Tomás defended this idea when speaking at the inauguration act of the second phase of the extension of the Ondangwa-Oshikango railways route, in a ceremony chaired by the Namibian President, Hifikepunye Pohamba.

 

"At the level of the rehabilitation and modernisation of the railways existing in Angola we can say that Luanda Railways company is fully operational in all its extension of 425 kilometres, crossing the provinces of Luanda, Bengo, Kwanza-Norte up to Malanje", he said.
