Luanda – The Angolan Government closed Thursday the restitution programme of vehicles destroyed during the armed conflict, with delivery of 56, out of 65 heavy vehicles to their owners, in Viana district, Luanda province.
According to the Ministry of Transport, those who get registered, but did not receive their cars should go to the Abamat (public company designed to supply spare parts of vehicles) to regulate the processes.
The restitution programme, which ended Thursday, was intended to give back 1,500 heavy vehicles in all provinces of the country and this was the second phase, started in December 2010.
The minister, Augusto da Silva Tomás, said that the hand over process came to restore justice to those who helped the State to achieve the peace.
