Luanda
Kenyan official calls Angola to open embassy in Nairobi

Luanda – The Kenyan minister of Western Communities, Peter G. Munya, Tuesday in Luanda appealed to the Angolan Government to urgently open an embassy in Nairobi, with a view to facilitating his country's citizens and entrepreneurs interested to visit the southern African nation.

The Kenyan official made the appeal while speaking during the ceremony of inauguration and signing of an cooperation and flight operation agreement between the Angolan Airlines (TAAG) and Kenya Airways, inaugurated on  Tuesday, August 17.

Peter Munya, who voiced satisfaction at the inauguration of the route connecting the Kenyan capital and Luanda, said that the beginning of the flights and strengthening of bilateral cooperation justifies the opening of an Angolan diplomatic mission in Nairobi and the setting up of a joint commission to analyse the aspects related to the relations between the two States.

The aircraft, which will operate twice a week, that is on Tuesdays and Fridays, has a capacity for 150 seats, 108 in the economy class and 42 in the executive.
