Luanda - The meteorological department of Cabinda’s airport was recently renovated in light of the modernisation and expansion process of the undertaking, enabling now pilots to receive accurate data on weather conditions through air traffic control tower.
The information was disclosed Saturday to ANGOP by the Director-General of the institution, Celso dos Santos, who explained that the meteorological equipment purchased is modern and is functioning efficiently.
With this system and the existing one recommended by the country’s aviation sector watchdog (Inavic), the airport has been able of assisting aircrafts at night, stressed the source.
Cabinda’s airport, which underwent recently repair and modernisation works, now counts on additional services, while others are underway.
