Dundo – The Provincial Traffic Department in Lunda Norte registered throughout last year, at least 281 road accidents which claimed 80 lives.

The accidents also caused 304 injuries and material damages estimate at AKZ 45 million.

It was revealed by the local official of the Department of Information and Analysis (GEIA), third sergeant Abílio Hélder, who would not disclose the number of events recorded in the same period in 2008.  

The source said that in the period under review was noticed the decrease of traffic accidents, deaths, and the increase in road fatalities and property damage, compared to the year of 2008.
