Cabinda - A seminar on norms of combat human trafficking started Wednesday in northern Cabinda province under the auspices of the Home Ministry in collaboration with the International Migration Organisation (IMO) to discuss issues aimed at
stemming the phenomenon.
Addressing the opening session, the provincial deputy governor of Cabinda, for social sphere, António Manuel Gime, stressed the importance of combat this scourge hitting the world.
“This training action will help all reflect deeply on the human trafficking phenomenon, as a situation that worries the governments, politicians and the world civil society”, said the official.
The two-day event gathers members of Home Ministry, National Police, Migration and Foreigners Services, Churches, Chieftains and Civil Society.
Wednesday's agenda include topics "What human trafficking is and how identifying it," whose lecturers are experts in human trafficking issues of IMO-Angola and Portugal, Lourena Pinto and Carla Amaral, respectively.
On Thursday, the event will discuss on "Why the cooperation is important against the trafficking’’ to be addressed by Manuel Frederico, of Interior Ministry.
The workshop, taking place at Engineering Menga's conference hall, is set to end Thursday.
