Traffic police hold stop operation during long weekend

Luanda - The Special Traffic Brigade (BET) is carrying out from September 14 to 18 a stop operation in light of the long weekend's prevention and supervision plan on the occasion of the nationwide festivities of the National Hero's Day, September 17, ANGOP has learnt.

 

BET's spokesperson, inspector João Pereira, said the operation will be carried out on all national roads and aims at preventing and controlling the traffic in order to reduce and avoid accidents.

 

At least 200 traffic officers will work on the national roads, mainly on those such as Luanda-Kwanza-Sul/Huambo, Luanda-Kwanza-Norte, through Binda Mountain and in Piri, in northern Uige province.
