Luanda – The Civil Engineering Training Centre of Viana Municipality, in Luanda, will gain this year three new courses in the specialties of Structural Metallurgy, Works Execution and Topographic Measurement and Construction.
According to the representative of Japan International Co-operation Agency (JICA) in Angola, Hiroshi Sato, who spoke at the opening of a seminar on “System, Service and Safety at Work”, the mentioned courses will be implemented as soon as the repair works taking place in the centre are finished.
Hiroshi Sato said that his country’s government is reinforcing the co-operation in the professional training area, mainly in the cicil engineering sector, reason why those courses will be implemented in the Viana centre.
He also explained that for the materialisation of the courses a Japanese specialist in the area of civil engineering has come to Angola to co-ordinate the technical co-operation project, aimed at upgrading Angolan technicians.
“In this technical co-operation project we’ve been working together with the Brazilian agencies ABC and Senai, thus forming a triangular co-operation”, he revealed, adding that Japan offers courses in the area of professional training management and other subjects.
