Priest highlights effort of journalists during muxima pilgrimage

Luanda – The effort and professional dedication of journalists during the coverage of the “Nossa Senhora da Muxima” Catholic pilgrimage was praised by the dean of the local church, father Albino Reyes Gonzales, during a mass which marked the closure of the religious event.


The preacher stressed that despite some difficulties, the media fulfilled its mission by keeping the country and the world informed, having highlighted the work of the journalists from Angola Press Agency (ANGOP), Jornal de Angola daily newspaper, Angola National Radio (RNA) and Angola Public Television (TPA).


Priest Albino Reyes Gonzales said that the journalists developed their work with diligence and determination, thus, fulfilling their objectives, especially the collection, treatment and distribution of information for public interest.


This year the pilgrimage counted on the presence of over 500,000 pilgrims.
