Huambo – The director of Cunene Hydrographic Basin Administrative Office, Armindo Mário Gomes da Silva, confirmed Thursday in Huambo City the conclusion of the rehabilitation work on Ngove dam, situated 119 kilometres south of the province’s main city.
In an interview to the press, the official stressed that the work is concluded at the level of substation and the transport lines, lacking only the conclusion of the network of distribution services for the cities of Caála (Huambo Province) and Kuito (Bíe Province), so that the dam
start producing commercial electricity for the consumers.
The director stressed also that the enterprise has the capacity of producing 60 megawatts of power, in three machineries installed which are already supplying electricity in an experimental phase.
