Fire brigade double actions near Muxima sanctuary

Muxima - The National Service of Fire and Civil Protection (SNPCB) and other forces have implemented a set of security measures in beaches and navigation areas across the Kwanza river, in the surroundings of Muxima village, in order to avoid drowns during the pilgrimage to the sanctuary, Angop has learnt.

SNPCB's' second commander, Francisco Ribas, said many equipments have been used to avoid drowns.

The services have the support of Luanda Port authority, fiscal police and the Angolan Navy that make rotating movements in beaches in the nearby of Muxima, as well as monitoring to passengers boats from Barra do Kwanza and Dondo village, Northern Kwanza-Norte province.

"Some pilgrims use boats to reach the sanctuary, through Kwanza river and many times without navigation conditions demanded by the country's maritime authorities", he said.
