Cornerstone for building customs infrastructure at Luau border launched

Luau - The national director of Customs of Angola, Silvio Franco Burity, launched this Thursday, the foundation stone for construction of infrastructure customs at the bordering district of Luau, eastern Moxico province.


This is the construction of an office, a warehouse and parking lots of vehicles along the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo.


In the town of Luau, 12 kilometers off the border, Silvio Franco Burity also launched the first stone to build a residence for customs officials.


The official took his few-hour stay in the town of Luau to visit the Municipal Bureau of Finance, the future delegation of Customs, as well as the building of the municipal administration.


The town of Luau is the end of Benguela Railways (CFB), which binds to the DRC and is located 334 kilometres east off Luena city, capital of Moxico province.
