Livingstone – The Mass Media minister, Carolina Cerqueira, arrived in Livingstone (Zambia) last Thursday’s afternoon to participate in the ceremony of handing over the CNN-Multichoice African Journalism Prize, which will happen on Saturday, in Lusaka.
In the tourism city of Livingstone, Carolina Cerqueira, has been attending a programme elaborated by the organisers of the event.
On Saturday morning, the Mass Media minister will travel to Lusaka where the ceremony will take place, on the same day.
The Angolan ambassador to Zambia, Balbina da Silva, welcomed the Media minister in Livingstone and she will also attend the mentioned ceremony.
Angola is participating in the CNN-Multichoice prize, also dubbed “African Journalism 2012”, with the journalist Isabel João, from the Novo Jornal private newspaper.
Isabel João is contesting in the category of General News in Portuguese Language, the same one won by the Angolan journalist Sebastião Vemba (Novo Jornal), in 2010.
The Angolan journalist Ernesto Bartolomeu, from the Angolan Public Television (TPA), also won the CNN-Multichoice prize in 2009.
