Luanda – The bishop of Our Lord Jesus Christ Church in the World (Tocoist Church), Afonso Nunes, urged on Sunday all faithful to fulfil what is written in the bible and reflect on their lives.
The religious leader said so during a mass which served to start the tabernacle.
Basing his sermon on the book Leviticus 23:33-41 and the Gospel of St. John 7: 10-16, the bishop said that Angola experiences a very important moment, a reason why the faithful must remain in prayer and purity.
Under the theme "The observance of the statutes of God is synonymous of tranquillity, peace and security", Afonso Nunes defended the need for all Angolans to put aside jealousy, intrigue and all the evils that endanger good relations.
The mass was witnessed by 36.800 faithful.
