Govt prioritises housing sector since end of armed conflict


Luanda - The national director for Housing, Eugenio Alexandre Correia, said Friday in Viana Municipality, in Luanda, that since the end of the armed conflict, construction of houses has been a priority of the Angolan government.

 
Eugenio Correia said that the government is obliged to create conditions so that every citizen can enjoy decent housing, to ensure a better quality of life.

 
He stressed this when he delivered a lecture entitled “Housing, an unavoidable concern of the youth”, an initiative of the Youth House, where the event took place, aiming to inform young people about issues pertaining to social, cultural, economic and sports life of the country.

 
The director said also the place where the houses are built have the appropriate living conditions, such as sanitation, water and electricity and access roads.
