Luanda - The new members of the Boards of Directors of the Public Television of Angola (TPA) and Radio Nacional de Angola (RNA), recently appointed by the President, took office today, Tuesday in Luanda, in a ceremony presided over by the minister of Economy, Abraao Gourgel.
At the ceremony, witnessed by the minister of Social Communication, Carolina Cerqueira, national directors, members of the Boards of Directors of Angop, Jornal de Angola and guests, they swore to be faithful to the homeland, cooperate in attaining the highest goals of the State, respect and enforcing the law and with zeal and dedication to fulfil the tasks for which they were appointed.
There were sworn in 16 members, nine for the National Radio of Angola (RNA) and seven of the TPA. This group includes the two new presidents of the boards of TPA, Helder Manuel Barber Dias dos Santos, and RNA, Joao Henrique Manuel dos Santos.
The minister of Economy, Abraao Gourgel, on the occasion, congratulated the new members, considering them the two important organs of the public enterprises sector of Social Communication of Angola.
"I address to the sworn in officials vows of much success in their work, health and hope that the tasks that these two companies have, which are of high dimension for the mass media and for the country could be carried out with zeal and commitment of everyone," augurs Economy minister.
He added that he counts on them for the pursuit of these objectives of the Media sector in Angola, as well as the sector of economy in that it can contribute to improve their efficiency.
In addition to their chairpersons, took possession for the Board of Directors of the RNA, the executive administrators António Sebastião Lino, Candido da Rocha Pinto, Filipe Diatezua Nsungu Miguel, Maria Perpetual da Cruz Cabral, Manuel de Jesus Vital Dias and Miguel da Conceicao Bras. There were also sworn in as non-executive administrators Humberto Jorge Machado de Passos and Carlos Alberto Andre Gregorio.
For the Public Television of Angola were sworn in as executive administrators Manuel Antonio da Silva, Nelson de Almeida, Manuel Florindo Rosa dos Ramos, João Maria Borges and Victor Fernandes, as non-executive directors Maria de Lourdes Pereira de Lima Mouzinho and Antonio Baptista.
