ADRA holds roundtable on poverty in rural area

Lubango – The NGO Action for Rural Development and Environment (ADRA) promoted on Wednesday in Lubango city, southern Huíla province, a roundtable on “Poverty in Rural Area”, under the participation of the civil society in the reflection on Millennium Development Goals.

 

The participants discussed issues related to the poverty socio-historic origin in rural areas, poverty and trading chain, access to basic services and participation in the fighting against poverty.


The meeting aimed to promote a broader reflection on poverty in Angolan among different social stakeholders, as well as present research project in face of poverty in the country.

 

 
The event was attended by representatives of government institutions, private universities of Angola, government and religious entities, chieftains and guests.
