Stockholm - Angolan ambassador to Sweden, Brito Sozinho, said Friday that one of the top priorities of the Action Programme of Angolan Executive is to protect the rights and interests of the country’s community abroad.
Brito Sozinho was delivering a speech at the opening of a meeting promoted by Embassy with Associations of Angolan residents in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Iceland, Finland and Estonia.
The meeting, witnessed by the deputy minister of Territory Administration for Institutional and Electoral Affairs, Adão de Almeida, was promoted in the framework of the celebrations of the 10th anniversary of the Peace Day, celebrated on April 4.
On the occasion, the diplomat explained that the support to economic, social and political development of the country, through its major insertion in the world, as well as the promotion of its image abroad, are also among the priorities of the Angolan government, whose implementation is up to the diplomatic mission.
According to Brito Sozinho, the two-day meeting is intended to collect information on the main plights facing the communities and their contribution to the tasks of rehabilitation, reconstruction and development of the country.
