Lubango – About twenty cooperatives, made up of five youths each, subscribed at Huíla Youth and Sports department for the second stage of the programme dubbed “Crédito Jovem” (Youth Credit), informed Thursday the institution director, Francisco Barros.
In an interview to ANGOP, the official stated that 12 cooperatives subscribed for industry credit (for workshop, bakery and shoe repair shop), five for commerce activities and three to provide services.
The programme will cover 14 districts of Huíla Province, with the objective of stimulating youths with subsidized credit, characterized by handover of professional kit, in a loan provided by the Saving and Credit Bank (BPC).
The manager stated that about USD 500.000 were made available for citizens aged 18 to 35, whose loan is of USD 500 for small cooperatives, eight thousand for medium projects and USD 12.000 is the maximum amount.
