Ndalatando – The Secretary of State for Water, Luís Filipe da Silva is paying on Tuesday a 24-hour to Ndalatando city, northern Kwanza Norte province, aiming to check the level of implementation of various water projects underway the region.
According to a press note from the local government, which reached Angop on Tuesday, the secretary is expected to be welcomed by the provincial governor of Kwanza Norte, Henrique Júnior, and then he will visit water supply and abstraction station based in Ndalatando city.
The document also reads that the water distribution system is supported by an abstraction station installed in Mucari River, which comprises a reservoir with capacity of pumping five million cubic metres and a 45-kilometre distribution network, aimed to supply Ndalatando district.
According to the press release, the execution of the project is part of “Water for All” programme and it enabled to build 92 fountains in various wards of Ndalatando city.
Valued at USD 10 million, Mucari project was implemented with the funds of World Bank.
