Luanda - Lack of rains in various regions of the country is owed to a drop in temperature on Pacific Ocean, mainly in the equatorial zone, a phenomenon know as La Niña, a source with the National Institute of Metereology and Goephysics (Inamet), said.
Inamet's director, Benjamin Domingos, told Angop that when La Niña water temperature drops between two to three centigrades, it is enough to cause effects on the global climate.
"There is poor evaporation and consequently there is no rain. This phenomenon can last between six to seven months," he added.
