Luanda - Most of the roads of Luanda downtown have benefited from public lighting, under a joint project of the administration of Maianga urban district and the energy and water departments, ANGOP has learnt.

The head of the technical office of the mentioned district, João Lobato, said the ongoing project enabled to put light in all of Luanda’s urban areas.

According to him, this move enables a safe movement of people, as well as helps to reduce the levels of criminality in the city.

The project is part of the government’s programme of increasing and improving the supply of basic services to the population.
