Church must contribute to fight against alcoholism

Luanda - An Evangelic Reformed Church in Angola (IERA) official defended on Thursday here the need for churches to be more and more united, so as to help in the fight against excessive consumption of alcoholic drinks, especially by young people, ANGOP has learnt.

The call come from the head of IERA’s communication, Pedro Quinanga, when speaking on the consequences of drinking too much alcoholic beverages.

He added that churches play an important role in the relationships with the society.

"Churches participate in mobilising the populations and can help to banish this ill that affects the country", he said.
