Kicabo – Some 28 Angolan refugees returned home on Monday from DR Congo and they are accommodated at Lifune sheltering centre in the northern Bengo province, under the national repatriation process.
This is the second group of Angolan refugees repatriated from the DRC, totalling 1.333 citizens.
In January, about 179 returnees arrived in Caxito district and so far they are already being taken to their hometowns.
Speaking to Angop, the head of the mentioned centre, Antónia Ferreira de Almeida said that these people are in good health conditions and returned freely with the support of the Ministry of Welfare and Social Reinsertion in cooperation with the International Organisation for Migration.
