Ekunha – The pastor of the Adventist Church of Angola, Colino Celino, on Monday manifested his happiness about the achieved results during the regional women’s congress, which was held on 17-19 September in Ekunha District, in the central Huambo Province.
Assessing the event, before leaving for Ekunha locality, Colino Celino said that the regional Seventh Day Adventist Women’s Congress achieved the outlined goals.
The pastor said that issues related to the role played by women in society and their contribution to the wellbeing of everyone were discussed in the meeting, among other issues.
The congress counted on the participation of religious women of the Adventist community in the provinces of Huila, Benguela, Bié, Kuando Kubango and Huambo.
At the end of the event, the participants visited the future facilities of the Ministry of Welfare and Social Reintegration (MINARS) in Ekunha District, tourist place of “Ilhas dos Amores”, local administration, the education department, command of Angolan National Police and health centre, where they donated kits of satellite dish.
