Luanda – The minister of Family and Women Promotion, Genoveva Lino, defended on Sunday in Luanda the need for society to contribute to the restructuring of the Angolan families, mainly in terms of moral and civic values.
The minister said so during a thanksgiving mass in the ambit of the festivities of the 36th anniversary of Prophet Simão Gonçalves Toco’s return from exile in Portugal’s Azores Island, marked on August 31.
According to her, the government is working hard in order to re-structure the Angolan families on the basis of the valorisation of man, aiming for the construction of a good society.
The minister said that it is needed that society contribute to the valorisation of man with the generation of jobs and wealth that will be applied in the development of the country.
Prophet Simão Gonçalves Toco was exiled in Portugal’s Azores Island for 11 years and returned to Angola on 31 August 1974.
The thanksgiving mass counted on the participation of the minister of Family and Women Promotion, representatives of political parties and various churches.
