Police launch road prevention campaign during pilgrimage

 


Luanda - Two hundred fifty Traffic Police staff from Luanda and northern Bengo provinces started Thursday a road prevention and control campaign in stretches of access to Muxima locality, Bengo province.

 


The action is intended to secure the pilgrimage to the Our Lady Shrine of Muxima, scheduled for 4 and 5 September.

 

    
According to the National Traffic Department spokesperson, Sub inspector Angelino Sarrote, a group of members of Special Traffic Brigade (BET) will also be involved in the campaign.

 

   
Among the measures, said the spokesperson, the corporation will not allow the cargo carrying vehicle to drive passengers, and drivers should abide by 60km speed limit, next to the localities.
