Luanda – The elimination of subsidies on fuels, in course since Tuesday in the country, will improve the investments in the sectors like education, health and basic sanitation, Angop learnt Wednesday from an official source.
Commenting on the advantages of the decision, the national director of the follow-up office of macroeconomic management of the Economic Coordination Ministry, Carlos Aires da Fonseca Panzo said that the government’s goal is to continue promoting people’s well-being. ‘’The government will have more money to invest in doing these initiatives addressed to those people in need”.
The source said that through the reduction of the subsidies on these two products, the National Treasury will get finance to be channelled to the sectors of great social impact, toward better distributing of national revenue.
