Church leader calls for respect for landmine warning signs

Luanda - The leader of Evangelic Baptist Church in Angola, reverend Daniel Ntoni Nzinga, appealed to the population to abide by the landmine warning signs, placed in suspect infected places.

Tony Nzinga launched this appeal Wednesday in Luanda on the fringes of a workshop on the assistance of the victims of landmines, designed to the church members.

The reverend advised not to remove the warning signs, as they serve to inform that a selected zone is infected with mines, thus avoiding possible accidents.

The Church leader also praised the Angolan government's efforts focussed on the implementation of the programme of landmine action
