Trade Union defends regulation on domestic work

Lubango – The National Trade Union of Angolan Workers (UNTA-CS) considers as pertinent the creation in short term of a Law on Domestic Work, as well as regulations on installation of refectories at workplaces and the creation of a management for the social fund of companies.

This was said on Saturday in Hoque locality, in the southern Huíla Province, by the chairman of UNTA-CS in that province, Júlio Bango Joaquim.

During the celebrations of the International Workers Day marked on May 1, the official said that it is important to update the law on the public manager statute and the installation of health centres at workplaces until the end of 2010.

According to the unionist, it is not acceptable the fact that there area some labour areas which are not regulated ten years after entering into force the General Labour Law .

The event was attended by the provincial governor of Huíla, Isaac Maria dos Anjos, members of the local government, among other entities of the province.

The event also counted on the participation of affiliates of UNTA-CS, General Centre of Independent and Free Unions of Angola (CGSILA) and the Angolan Central Trade Union Force (FSAC).
