Kuito - The governor of central Bie province, Alvaro Manuel de Boavida Neto, Friday in Kuito city, advocated for the need to work on gender equality in the implementation of programs aimed at the country’s economic growth.
The official who was addressing the celebrations of the "Father's Day", stressed that women should show their contribution to society symbolizing the fellowship, friendship and mutual respect.
"I think men should accept the equality of female and male as a divine gift and most sacred able to turn positive attitudes in society."
According to the governor, gender equality should be seen as historical and social achievement among humans, as well as a means to fight against divergences.
He noted that gender equality should be understood as a stabilizing factor for the family responsibilities in the political, social and economic dominions.
Alvaro Manuel de Boavida Neto added that for gender equality to be a social fact it is necessary that men begin to observe ethical, civic and moral values.
