Luanda - The Angolan minister of Family and Women Promotion, Genoveva da Conceição Lino, Friday in Luanda called on parents to reflect thoroughly on the education of children and family in general.
The official launched this appeal during the closing ceremony of the first meeting that gathered different generations of fathers, under the auspices of the sector intended to celebrate 19 March, Father's Day.
The date is aimed at reflecting and calling on the society in general and fathers in particular, for the need to assume their responsibilities as the key pillars for training the children.
The participants at the meeting analysed themes as "The father's role in training of children’s personality", "Duties and responsibilities of father", "Responsible fatherhood".
The event gathered government officials, figures of civil society, NGOs, churches and guests, with stress to the vice-minister of Family, Ana Paula Neto, INAC's director, Ruth Mixinji, rev. Luís Nguimbi, sociologist Simão Helena, among others.
