Luanda – The deputy governor of Luanda province for Social Affairs, Juvelina Imperial, Wednesday here recognised the role played by the family in the country’s stability and development.
The official was speaking at a seminar on “Family Role”, held on the premises of the Luanda High Institute of Economics (IMEL).
According to the official, with the attainment of peace and the effort to design programmes focusing on the elevation of the living standards of the populations, structured families are relevant for the development of a harmonious society.
She said the Government is running the seminar to contribute to secure the retrieval of dignity, moral and spiritual integrity of the family.
Another purpose of the seminar, according to the source, is to strengthen the role of concerned agents, particularly those involved in the education and formation of the youth for the challenges ahead.
Juvelina Imperial said as well that with the training of the social agents, a major engagement in the communities, towards the retrieval of ethical and moral values is expected, with a view to their involvement in the country’s economic and technological affairs.
She also appealed to those involved in the process to seek to learn of their strength and weaknesses, so they can draft more updated plan of actions.
The event was attended by officials of the Ministry of Family and Women Promotion and Luanda administration’s staff.
