Number of flood victims increase in Cunene province

Ondjiva, – The coordinator of the Civil protection Commission, Joaquim Domingos said on Friday in Ondjiva that the number of flood affected people has raised to 12.000 against the previously announced figure of 10.879.

 

Joaquim Domingos said the floods victims are receiving foodstuffs, medicines, blankets,  mosquito nets, tents and other goods from local officials.

 

This is the third consecutive year of floods in Cunene province and the situation now is worst  in Cuvelai district.
