Ondjiva - The minister of territorial administration, Bornito de Sousa, highlighted today the government assistance to the flood victims in southern Cunene province, during a meeting with local officials aimed at assessing the damages of the natural disaster.

The minister disclosed that the government in Cunene will distribute plots of land to the flood victims, massed in the sheltering centers, to build their new houses, in a urbane area with spaces for administration services.

He considered the flood situation as worrying since the water is now approaching Onjiva and the outskirts of the capital of Cunene province. The floods affected 10,879 people and destroyed 180 farms.
