Governor wants decent houses for people

Namibe - The governor of the south-western Namibe province, Cândida Celeste called on the local authorities for the need to provide the citizens with decent housing, ensuring access to power network, drinking water and education.

 

The minister made these statements at the end of a visit to the land areas located in in "5de Abril", "Praia Amélia" and "Canbongue" neighbourhoods, considered State-owned reserves, but to cater for the people, as part of National Housing Programme.

 

The official said to comply with the government guidance aimed at building of one million homes across the country by 2012.

 

The government of Namibe is implementing projects of arrangement in Namibe district, covering about 9234 hectares in wards of Aida, Kambongue Saco-mar, 5 de Abril and Praia Amélia.
