US Government releases report on human rights

Luanda – The US State Department is releasing Thursday in Washington D.C, its Annual Report on Human Rights situation in world, Angop learnt. 


 
According to a press note from the US embassy in Luanda, the Annual Report on Human Rights is produced in compliance with the US Congress direction.

 

The Annual Report is drafted to enable a global understanding on the Human Rights situation in all countries where the US Government has a diplomatic mission or a liaison offices.


 
The Report is an essential element of the US efforts to promote the respect for the human rights worldwide.


 
These efforts are based on US Government decision-making and may serve as a  reference to other Governments, international institutions, human rights activist and journalists.
