Angola hosts international youth conference

Luanda - The chairperson of the National Youth Council (CNJ), Claudio Aguiar, Wednesday in Luanda, said that the country’s economic, political and social stability are the main causes that led for the choice of Angola to host the Third International Conference on Youth Policies and the African Youth Charter.

Speaking to Angop, on the holding of the III International Seminar of Youth, which will be host in Luanda, from 29 March to 01 April of this year, the official said that the event will take place in the country because of confidence that the international youth organizations of the African Union (AU) and European Union (EU) deposited in Angola.

"Angola will host the youth summit due to its high level of political and social stability, as well as its strong economic growth. These were the main indicators for the country to earn the confidence of youth institutions in Africa and Europe," he said.

Claudio Aguiar also considered that the success on the holding of the African Cup of Nations Angola Orange (CAN2010), the country hosted 10-31 January this year, as another contributing factor for the choice of the country to hold the worldwide event.
