Drinking water supply resumes in Kunhinga locality

Kuito – The population of Kunhinga district, situated 30 kilometres to the north of Kuito city, capital of central Bié province, can once again count on drinking water supply, one year after a breakdown in the distribution network.

 

Speaking about the matter, the local administrator, Beatriz Napende Diniz, stressed that the fact pleases the population and hinders the spreading of illnesses caused by consumption of improper water.

 

The reparation of the breakdown is estimated at amounted at 1.38 million Kwanzas (Angolan currency), from the district management funds, attributed in 2009, as part of the municipal decentralisation programme.
