Cabinda - Angolan minister of Energy, Emanuela Vieira Lopes, arrived Tuesday in northern Cabinda provinve for a two-day visit aimed at assessing the sector she leads.
The minister was received by the provincial governor, Mawete Junior, with whom she discussed issues related to development of the sector.
According to the visiting agenda, the minister is expected to visit the production centre of Malongo, Malebo plain, where is being installed a system of gas turbine by the Electricity Company (ENE) and substation of Chiazi stadium, hosting the group B of the Orange African Cup of Nations (CAN2010).
Emanuela Viera Lopez is leading a delegation comprising national directors, senior officials, among other experts from the Ministry of Energy.
In Cabinda province, the Ministry of Energy is implementing a series of activities to improve production, transportation and distribution system of energy in the region.
The project includes rehabilitation and extension of high, medium and low voltage electricity network in Cabinda city and Landana, construction of MBuco substation with 60/30 kilovottes (KV).
Partial construction of substation of São Pedro with 60/30 KV, the rehabilitation of 30 kV line between Futile and Lândana, including the extensions are also some of the projects underway in northern Cabinda province.
