Workshop on information objectivity marks ANGOP?s anniversary

Luanda - A workshop on “Information Objectivity” will be held this Friday, in Luanda, to mark the celebrations of the 34th anniversary of the Angola Press Agency (ANGOP).


 
Designed for journalists, technicians, employees, among others, the seminar will be lectured by the director-general of the Journalists Training Centre (Cefojor), Albino Carlos.


 
The Angola Press Agency (ANGOP) is a public institution with juridical, administrative, financial and patrimonial autonomy.

 

ANGOP was established in July 1975 and its first telegraph dispatch was launched on 30 October of that year.


 
The country’s only press agency, ANGOP has as its task the gathering, processing and distribution of news on a basis of exclusivity, both locally and abroad.

 

It also provides an electronic point-to-point, Internet or e-mail news services either directly or otherwise to local and foreign media organs, based on agreed terms.
